Mr. Imtiaz Bhatti
Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Imtiaz Bhatti is the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. He joined PKTCL as Deputy Managing Director in the year 2007 and was promoted to this position with effect from March 9 th 2009.
His professional experience is spread over more than 20 years in Insurance, Finance and Operations. Prior to this, he worked as the Director Finance of New Hampshire Insurance Pakistan, a member company of the American International Group (AIG).s.
He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. He is also a Fellow member of Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants and Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Managers, Pakistan. Mr. Bhatti has the privilege to attend numerous seminars and training sessions internationally.
Mr. M. Iftekhar Ahmed
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. M. Iftekhar Ahmed is the Chief Operating Officer of Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Iftekhar’s professional experience is spread over 21 years at progressive senior positions and has underwriting, reinsurance and claims management experience with Habib Insurance Company Limited, Guardian Royal Exchange Assurance and Adamjee Insurance Company Limited.
His expertise includes Health, Bankers Blanket Bonds & project related insurances, . He has extensive experience in restructuring insurance operations and automation in his earlier assignments.
He holds Masters degree in Business Administration from United States. He is also an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII, ) United Kingdom. He has also attended a number of Insurance and Management related Workshops & Conference conducted locally & internationally.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ali Akbar Shaikh is the Head of Finance Department of the Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Shaikh’s professional experience spreads over 19 years at progressive senior positions in different Insurance and Accountancy firms. Prior to working with PKTCL, Mr. Shaikh was the Senior Vice President (Finance) in New Jubilee Insurance Company.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
Syed Waqar Azeem
Deputy General Manager / Head of Marketing & Sales
Syed Waqar Azeem is the Head of Marketing of the Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Azeem’s professional experience is spread over 17 years at progressive senior positions in insurance industry. Prior to working with PKTCL, Mr. Azeem was the AGM Marketing of PICIC insurance and VP EFU General Insurance. He has successfully insured number of mega Engineering Projects funded by World Bank, Asian Development Bank and OECF of Japan.
He has vast experience of establishing Branch Setup, development of Sales Force teams, Sales Operations Management and Sales Channel Development. His expertise in Brand Management helped established Takaful brand in Pakistan.He holds Masters Degree in Business Administration (USA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Linguistics from China. He has also attended a number of Insurance and Management related Workshops & Conference conducted locally & internationally.
Syed Wajahatullah Quadri
Financial Controller
Mr. Quadri is a Chartered Accountant and currently working as Financial Controller of PKTCL.
Prior to joining PKTCL Mr. Quadri has worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers. While associated with PricewaterhouseCoopers he has worked in Pakistan, Oman and Saudi Arabia at progressive senior management position in Assurance and Business Advisory services. He has also done various assignments in Bahrain and United Arab Emirates.
Mr. Quadri has been involved in assurance and business advisory services for National Bank of Pakistan, Oman Development Bank, Oman Housing Bank, State General Reserve Fund – Oman and Samba Bank – Saudi Arabia. He has also involved in various type of assignments at Philips, Al-Rajhi Group, Saudi Iron & Steel Co.(Hadeed), Snamprogetti and Saipem.
Mr. Quadri has extremely good knowledge in analyzing reports of the funds managed internationally in both equity and bond portfolios like, CitiGroup, Nomura, Schroders, J P Morgan, MerryLinch and others.
He is an Associate of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and also a Member of National Institute of Accountant, Australia.
Mr. Aziz Kapadia
Head of Internal Audit / Company Secretary
Mr. Aziz Kapadia is the Head of Internal Audit of the Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Kapadia’s professional experience is spread over 15 years at progressive senior positions in insurance industry. Prior to working with PKTCL, Mr. Kapadia was the Vice President (Accounts & Finance) in New Jubilee Insurance Company and Deputy Manager (Accounts & Finance) in CGU International Insurance (A Group Company of AVIVA, UK).
He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) – Karachi with Majors in Finance. He further achieved a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Kansas State University, USA. His majors was in Accounts. He has also attended a number of Workshops and Seminars on Management Accounting and Internal Audit practices.
Mr. Shuja Ahmed
Head of Corporate Services
Shuja Ahmed is the Head of Information Technology of the Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Ahmed’s professional experience spreads over 10 years in FMCG and Oil & Gas Sector companies. He has experience of managing Sales & Distribution Management Information System for Unilever Pakistan Limited. He has also been part of two Enterprise Resource Planning Implementations (SAP R/3 4.6C) at Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited. He was also a part of Business Process Re-engineering project leading towards ERP implementation at PPL.
He holds Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA)- Karachi. He has attended a number of technical and management workshops as well as Islamic Finance & Economics courses from Center for Islamic Economics – Karachi.
Mr. M. Waqaruddin Rauf
Senior Manager Operations
Mr. M. Waqaruddin Rauf is Senior Manager Operations of the Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. He has the premier insurance qualification of Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute, UK – (ACII). He has also achieved Master of Arts (Economics) and Bachelor of Commerce qualifications from University of Karachi. He is having the Chartered Insurer membership of CII (UK) with excellent knowledge of underwriting various classes of business.
He has a professional experience of 16 years at various senior positions in the insurance industry. Prior to PKTCL, he was working as Senior Manager Underwriting in the New Jubilee Insurance Company Ltd, where he had an underwritten diversified business portfolio of various classes and nature. Besides, he was also involved in the risk management and business automation of the company.
