Mr. M. Istaqbal Mehdi
Managing Director/ CEO
Mr. lstaqbal Mehdi is the Managing Director/ CEO of Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited and Pak-Kuwait Investment Company (Pvt) Ltd. Prior to assuming this post, Mr. Mehdi was the President of Zarai Taraqiati Bank of Pakistan (ZTBL). He worked as the Chairman and Chief Executive of NIT and thereafter became the Managing Director of ICP.
Mr. lstaqbal Mehdi held executive positions in several national organizations like Chief Experts Advisory Cell, Ministry of Industry and Production and Senior Economist, Board of Industrial Management etc.
Mr. Imtiaz Bhatti is the Deputy Managing Director of Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Prior to this he worked as the Director Finance of New Hampshire Insurance Pakistan, a member company of the American International Group (AIG). His professional experience is spread over 20 years in Operations, Finance and Accounts.
Earlier to his above assignments, Mr. Bhatti also worked for prestigious organizations like Aga Khan University Hospital and Pakistan Services Limited (Owners and operators of Pearl Continental Hotels) at progressive senior positions.
Mr. M. Iftekhar Ahmed
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. M. Iftekhar Ahmed is the Chief Operating Officer of Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Iftekhar’s professional experience is spread over 21 years at progressive senior positions and has underwriting, reinsurance and claims management experience with Habib Insurance Company Limited, Guardian Royal Exchange Assurance and Adamjee Insurance Company Limited.
His expertise includes Health, Bankers Blanket Bonds & project related insurances, etc. He has extensive experience in restructuring insurance operations and automation in his earlier assignments.
Mr. S. Zubair Ahmad Shah
Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary
Mr. S. Zubair Ahmad Shah is the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Prior to working with PKTCL, Mr. Shah was the General Manager of Engineering Development Board and the Executive Director Accounts, Services & Planning of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd.
Mr. Shah was also the Head of Marketing, Personnel & the Company Secretary of National Investment Trust Karachi and has also had the honor of working as a General Manager of EAC, Ministry of Industries & Production. His overall experience is spread over 32 years in diversified field of financial management.
Mr. Ali Akbar Shaikh
Deputy General Manager Finance
Mr. Ali Akbar Shaikh is the Head of Finance Department of the Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Shaikh’s professional experience is spread over 19 years at progressive senior positions in different Insurance and Accountancy firms. Prior to working with PKTCL, Mr. Shaikh was the Senior Vice President (Finance) in New Jubilee Insurance Company and Manager (Accounts) in East West Insurance Company.
Syed Waqar Azeem
Deputy General Manager / Head of Marketing & Sales
Syed Waqar Azeem is the Head of Marketing of the Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Azeem’s professional experience is spread over 14 years at progressive senior positions in insurance industry. Prior to working with PKTCL, Mr. Azeem was the AGM Marketing of PICIC insurance and VP EFU General Insurance. He has successfully insured number of mega Engineering Projects funded by World Bank, Asian Development Bank and OECF of Japan.
Mr. Aziz Kapadia
Head of Internal Audit
Mr. Aziz Kapadia is the Head of Internal Audit of the Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Kapadia’s professional experience is spread over 15 years at progressive senior positions in insurance industry. Prior to working with PKTCL, Mr. Kapadia was the Vice President (Accounts & Finance) in New Jubilee Insurance Company and Deputy Manager (Accounts & Finance) in CGU International Insurance (A Group Company of AVIVA, UK).
Mr. Shuja Ahmed
Head of Information Technology
Shuja Ahmed is the Head of Information Technology of the Pak-Kuwait Takaful Company Limited. Mr. Ahmed’s professional experience spreads over 8 years in FMCG and Oil & Gas Sector companies. He has experience of managing Sales & Distribution Management Information System for Unilever Pakistan Limited. He has also been part of two Enterprise Resource Planning Implementations (SAP R/3 4.6C) at Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited. He was also a part of Business Process Re-engineering project leading towards ERP implementation at PPL.
